Mr. Polgár holds a degree in economics, he studied hospitality administration and management in the United States, and is currently studying law. He has been working in the hotel industry for almost 20 years.

David B. Cornstein was appointed by President Donald Trump to serve as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Hungary. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on May 24, 2018 and presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Hungary on June 25, 2018.

In 2015 and 2017, Patrick won a translation grant from the Milán Füst foundation to support his work translating plays by Milán Füst (Boldogtalanok) and Sándor Bródy (A dada). He plans to continue his work as a literary translator and dreams of producing an anthology of classic Hungarian plays in his own English translations.

Previously, he was Professor of Technology Management and Chair of the Department of Technology Management, at the Polytechnic Institute of NYU (now NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering).

Born in April 1947 in Paris, to German parents (painters). French nationality acquired in 1968, without loosing the German. Maiden Name: Edzard, Married 1971 in Paris to Georges Karolyi :4 children: Geraldine (1975) Alexandre (1977), Elisabeth (1979), Nicolas (1986 - 2005) .
